The Riddler Is Rumored To Make Up The Dark Knight’s Rogues Gallery In “The Batman”
Robert Pattinson is all set to become Gotham’s protector, The Batman and looks like he will be facing a lot of villains in his quest for justice. It’s being rumored that he will be facing more than Penguin and Catwoman, who are also rumored to appear in the movie. Now, The Riddler is also being said to appear in the highly anticipated movie. But there is help on hand for Batman, as Robin can appear in the movie too.
The Villains In Matt Reeves’s The Batman
A new report from Forbes states that Robert Pattinson’s new Batman will face The Penguin, Catwoman and The Riddler as well as numerous other villains and mob bosses in the movie. The site states that Robert Pattinson will “potentially” have help coming with him in the form of Batman sidekick Robin. The site claims that we should hear some official casting announcements soon, so these rumors should be good enough to tide us over for now.

Both the Riddler and Robin have appeared in Joel Schumacher’s Batman films and Robin now leads a live-action series called Titans with Brenton Thwaites as the Boy Wonder in the DC Universe. The Riddler last graced the big screen in Batman Forever with Jim Carrey portraying the villainous character who was recently utilized in the Gotham TV show.

After Zack Snyder’s polarizing DCEU universe, WB/DC have decided to give their superhero universe another go separate from those movies. As such they are developing The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Supergirl, New Gods and Nightwing.

The DCEU is still chugging along well with Joker, a standalone film set outside of the main continuity starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime. It is slated for release on October 4, 2019, Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020 and WB’s tentpole movie Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020The Batman hits theatres on June 25, 2021.
