The actress who was praised for her portrayal in Bombshell was under fire when she became a part of Amsterdam, directed by David O. Russell.

The mystery comedy film is based on three friends –two soldiers played by Christian Bale and John David Washington, and a nurse portrayed by Margot Robbie, who become the prime suspects in a murder in the 1930s. The director has a long history of abuse allegations which is the very reason the actress was targeted by fans for working with him.

The director has been guilty of ‘feeling up’ his transgender niece. Not just he accepted the fact that he groped her but also blamed her for “acting very provocative toward him.”

He was also involved in a physical altercation with actor George Clooney as the latter shared his experience working with the director on 1999’s Three Kings as “the worst experience of [his] life.”

The movie was released last month becoming a box office bomb, with estimated losses of up to $97 million.
