Theory Time: Iron Man And War Machine Think The Same Way
Avengers: Endgame is a movie which is chock full of references. It has been a full week that the movie has been out on Blu-ray and DVD, but fans are still noticing new details about the movie. One such little detail was noticed by an observant fan on Reddit. The user noticed that War Machine and Iron Man had more in common rather than just being best friends. What was it? Read on to find out:
The MIT Intelligence Of Iron Man
The other thing which bonds Rhodey and Stark, apart from being best friends is their education at MIT which is responsible for their razor sharp wit and intelligence.
A post on Reddit called them the true intellectuals of the Avengers during the events of the Infinity Saga. The user pointed out some of the out-of-the-box ideas which the two armored heroes had for stopping Thanos.
When Tony learned that Thanos needed all six stones to achieve his goal, he asked why don’t they just toss one of the stones down a garbage disposal. Of course this will make anyone roll their eyes because magical forces are basically indestructible unless you wish them away as Thanos did in Endgame. You can check out the Reddit post below:
The MIT graduates were the only true intellectuals.

Rhodey A.K.A War Machine’s Brilliant Idea In Endgame
The second part of the post brings to light a moment during the planning which was being done for the time heist. There Rhodey asks why can’t they go back to the past and basically kill baby Thanos so that he wouldn’t even have a chance to inflict such damage on the universe.
One commentator on the post remembered that this moment in Endgame had some slight sound effects so as to help the viewers understand what War Machine was insinuating.
But fans aren’t the only people who are having a blast analyzing the movie. Marvel Studios has been promoting the film pretty much regularly on social media as well. There, a recent tweet revealed Don Cheadle’s favorite moment from Avengers: Endgame. The actor best known for playing James “Rhodey” Rhodes said that the moment he shares with Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) is his favourite. Which one you ask, this one:
When the Benatar lands, all of Scott’s Taco fillings fly out of the shell. Then Nebula (Karen Gillian) warns Rhodey on the coms that there is an “idiot in the landing zone,” before Rhodey shows up, startles Scott and says, “What’s up, regular sized man?”
Ofcourse, the best part of the whole moment is when Hulk shows up to give Scott one of his own tacos.
Right now, the future of War Machine in the MCU is uncertain, but Avengers: Endgame is out on all digital platforms where you can watch the movie.
Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and more.
