What might look simple at one glance could have different sides of the narrative. Before the couple started dating each other, the actress had been married to actor Scott Foley. The trio got somewhat linked when the reports of Garner being unfaithful in her relationship with Foley surfaced just to date the Batman star.

The former couple, Jennifer Garner and Scott Foley met on the set of Felicity in 1998. The former had a guest appearance for two episodes of the show. The two fell in love and exchanged vows two years later in 2000.

However, their marriage was short-lived. They announced their separation in 2003 claiming “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce.

Back in 2013, Garner in an interview shared, “We were full-on grown-ups, but looking back I’m aware we did not know what hit us. We didn’t have a shot. He’s a really good guy, and we just imploded.”

Their divorce was finalized in 2004. The actress soon after her divorce paired up with Ben Affleck and married him the very next year.

The former couple, Garner and Ben Affleck first met each other on the set of 2001’s Pearl Harbor and got to work again in 2003’s Daredevil.  The latter later revealed that he fell in love with the actress while filming, and the duo started dating each other in 2004.

They got married in a private ceremony the next year in 2005 and share three children, Violet Anne Affleck, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, and Samuel Garner Affleck.

Their relationship came to an end in 2015 when they announced their separation. Their divorce was officially finalized in 2018.

Even though Affleck and Garner went official in 2004, the former pair kept their relationship mostly under wraps. That is when some speculations surfaced about Garner being unfaithful to her former husband, however, the Scandal star was not convinced.

Rather than holding any person accountable, he focused on the pressure of the Alias star’s growing celebrity status that somewhat created the gap between the former couple. “Nobody else was involved,” he shared with PEOPLE in 2003. He added,

“Jennifer became a huge celebrity. She became a huge star, and she deserved everything she got. There was no other relationship, there was no infidelity, nothing. People get divorced, you know? Through no one’s fault and everyone’s fault.”

Even though nothing of that sort was ever confirmed, the former husbands’ of Garner had a good relationship with her.
