Some of the mightiest villains from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are happened to be as funny as they are terrifying.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has adapted some of the most iconic villains from the comic world. Despite being cruel, nefarious, and cunning, some of these are significantly and incredibly funny. While they are not deliberately hilarious, these villains have been written and created in a way that audiences have no choice but to love them.
Thanks to their humor and charm, many of these villains happened to go down on a redemptive path with fans accepting their heroism as well. While many found great comedy in the character’s pain, others found their quick one-lines quite hilarious.
With that said, these are the 5 mightiest villains from the MCU who are indeed funny –
Loki
Loki’s MCU journey began as a villain but fans got to see a few beats of his comedy in each Thor installment. Later, the character also showed up in Avengers films with finally hitting a solo release on Disney+ this year. Over all these years, this villain has demonstrated that he is capable of cracking jokes all at a perfect time. Being the God of Mischief, his dry wit and sarcastic nature have helped him blend the character that way.
Nebula
Nebula is the adopted daughter of Thanos and sister to Gamora. She is all aware that is not even a single funny bone is attached to her family. Despite that, most of Nebula’s appearances in the MCU have been really sarcastic and hilarious. After she continues to grow and end up meeting the Guardians, the jokes start to crack through her own sarcastic lenses.
M’Baku
M’Baku is not a primary villain to Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, in the comic world, he is known as ‘Man-Ape’, a rival to King T’Challa. But as far as his intentions are concerned, he has some clear ones regarding the future of his beloved Wakanda. As the story moves forward, fans get an opportunity to spend some more time with the character where he shows up a good sense of humor. While he is mostly loyal, M’Baku never leaves an opportunity to mock the outsiders. His comedy timings are perhaps one of the most intriguing elements that helped the character shift from a villain to a natural hero.
Quentin Beck
Beck is a man of mystery. While the character is not particularly hilarious, the idea of Mysterio itself is funny. But the strange vengeful tale, integrated with the state-of-the-art technology is what allowed Quentin to become a perfect comedian. In some way or the other, Beck replicated both Justin Hammer and Tony Stark and has sufficient humor to back it up. But at the same time, it was really hilarious to discover a mighty villain jumping around in ping pong balls and pajamas.
Agatha Harkness
Agatha Harkness played the role of a nosey neighbor pretty much decently. But surprisingly, she was perhaps one of the most hilarious characters of the MCU. She managed to control a successful sitcom in a way that Thanos and Ultron didn’t realize it coming. Even after her plan gets revealed, she roasts the newly freed Scarlet With and her family.
