Detective Pikachu will bring out the best in all anime fans around the globe. It looks like one director from Hollywood is going to bring that clout to the kicks these days. Jordan Vogt- Roberts showed up in the New York premiere of Detective Pikachu wearing a pair of air jordan sneakers inspired by Pokemon, which already has fans around the world jealous.
Jordan Vogt- Roberts Fashions New Sneakers
The director of Kong: Skull Island took to Twitter to share the custom AJ1 sneakers with all his fans. Roberts posted a few pictures boasting off the customised Air Jordans with their Pikachu aesthetic.
In the greatest achievement of my life…
I collaborated with the young legend #stompinggroundcustoms to create a custom PIKACHU Off-White Jordan 1 for the #DetectivePikachuMovie premiere. I don’t know how I’ll go back to wearing non-Pokémon themed sneakers.

“In the greatest achievement of my life,” the director wrote.

So, how much do these Detective Pikachu customised Air Jordan Snekaers cost?
As you may notice, the sneakers appear like they come from an anime with its blackened lines and cartoony scuffs. The whole body is painted with a mixture of white and yellow, giving the panels and black laces some shine. The sides of the sneakers have Pikachu’s tail instead of the usual Nike logo and the white soles of the shoe are marked up to provide a rougher look to the custom kicks.
We can’t tell how much these shoes must have cost post its customisation but we all know how expensive these Air Jordans are. These custom kicks in off-white may get sold for $5000 or more but it looks like Vogt-Roberts was okay with its price if it meant promoting Detective Pikachu.
