By the way, spoilers ahead!

First Film: Lifetime’s Christmas in the Spotlight

If you’re a fan of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, then Lifetime’s Christmas in the Spotlight is the perfect holiday movie for you. Premiering on November 23rd, this festive romance is clearly inspired by the whirlwind love story between the pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Even though the movie doesn’t have the stars themselves, it totally captures their chemistry and love story. It’ll make you believe in Christmas magic—and maybe even in celebrity romance.

The film follows Bowyn (played by Jessica Lord), a famous pop singer with a massive following, and Drew (Laith Wallschleger), a football player on a team similar to the Chiefs. Both are constantly in the public eye, and while they try to keep their romance under wraps, the paparazzi make it nearly impossible.

The couple shares sweet, private moments together, much like Swift and Kelce do when they find rare downtime away from the media circus. One of the most charming nods to the real-life couple?

Bowyn, like Tay, is known for her huge fanbase, and Drew finds a creative way to invite her to a game, sparking the beginning of their own love story. The movie even has some playful references to Swift’s music. At one point, Bowyn jokingly mentions:

Growing up I was never really the cheerleader, more a bleacher girl.

It’s a line — “She’s cheer Captain, and I’m on the bleachers” — that mirrors lyrics from Swift’s You Belong with Me. You can also expect the usual holiday cheer, a bit of drama, and a happy ending, which is exactly what we want from a Christmas movie.

You can stream Christmas in the Spotlight on mylifetime.com and the Lifetime app. It’ll also air on TV on December 14th at 6 PM and December 25th at 8 PM.

Second Movie: Hallmark’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story

If you’re a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies (like who isn’t?), you’re going to love this one. oliday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story‘s plot revolves around Derrick (played by Tyler Hynes), a new guy in town who has just started working for the Kansas City Chiefs as their director of fan engagement.

As part of his job, he’s on a mission to find the “fan of the year” and meets Alana (played by Hunter King), a local who works at a Chiefs memorabilia shop. Alana and her family are die-hard Chiefs fans, running a store that sells lucky team gear.

As Derrick gets to know Alana, the two hit it off—and of course, sparks fly. But there’s more than just romance at play here. Alana’s family, who are all eager for her to find love, start trying to set the two up in the most over-the-top ways. It’s classic Hallmark-level matchmaking, and it’s totally adorable.

What really takes this movie to the next level, though, is the cameo from Donna Kelce, Travis Kelce’s mom. She plays a waitress who brings out some delicious Kansas City BBQ and gives a bit of dating advice.

It’s a small moment, but it’s a fun nod to her son’s high-profile romance with T-Swizzle. (And if anyone knows how to handle a public relationship, it’s Donna.) Even though this movie isn’t directly about Swift and Kelce, it channels a similar energy.

Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story airs on Nov. 30 at 8 PM on Hallmark and will re-air all through December. You can catch an extended version on Hallmark+ starting December 12.
