Reynolds admitted during a Dear Hank and John podcast appearance that he occasionally gets mistaken for Ben Affleck.

Whether it’s being confused for another Hollywood actor or a misplaced Christmas gift, Ryan Reynolds handles situations in his manner. Ryan Reynolds claimed on a recent episode of Dear Hank and John that a New York pizzeria regularly mistakes him for Ben Affleck, and he has never corrected them.
So now they are aware. In the episode, Reynolds mentioned a pizza joint he’s been frequenting for years in New York’s East Village. “They believe I’m Ben Affleck and I’ve never corrected them. I feel it would not go over well if I revealed it. I believe it would not be warmly received.”
The actor claimed that the staff at the pizza parlor are also quite interested in Affleck’s relationship with Jennifer Lopez.
“They simply believe that I am Ben Affleck, and when they inquire about Jennifer Lopez, I reply, “Great, good,” Ryan remarked.
The Red Notice star doesn’t linger for too long or get overly talkative as part of his plan to keep up the illusion.
He joked that he goes along with the curious onlookers who frequently ask him how Jennifer Lopez is doing, to which he replies, “Great, good.” He joked that he simply grabs his pizza and left.
Reynolds remarked, “I get the pizza and I’m off.”
The father of three claimed that the fact that Affleck appears “mildly put out” by the barrage of personal inquiries each time he is there is what makes it seem “believable” that he is Affleck. He claimed that the employees often inquire about the films that Affleck appears in.
The two actors have a long history together, having both appeared in the 2006 movie Smokin’ Aces. Affleck’s 2010 film The Town included Lively, Reynolds’s wife. Affleck recently shared a humorous tale about working with Lively on that film and a hilarious incident with Matt Damon.
Another Mistaken Identity With Ryan Gosling
Another challenge Reynolds has encountered is people mistaking him for the other Ryan from Canada, Ryan Gosling. He responded to a query from a listener on how to distinguish between Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling, two Canadian stars who are frequently mistaken for one another.
Reynolds began his response by stating: “Years ago, I used to play a little more fast and loose on Twitter. I’m a little more reserved these days.”

And just so you know, Reynolds thinks the right Ryan got a part in The Notebook. Reynolds stated that the movie might not be as well-liked as it is now if certain circumstances were different.
He laughed, “That would have failed horrendously.” “Worse would have been the outcome. I swear to you. It would have been impossible to watch.”
