A highly anticipated memoir by Prince Harry, Spare, will be released on January 10, 2023. A 416-page hardcover edition and an audiobook (on CD) will be available, read by the Duke of Sussex himself. After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, the British Royal family is set to embrace more revelations from his upcoming memoir.
There is no doubt that the Sussex couple went out of their comfort zone and put themselves at risk quite a bit to reveal some unhappening royal incidents in their two-part documentary series. According to reports, a notorious appearance at a private costume party in 2005, in which the Duke of Sussex wore a Nazi uniform, has been blamed on his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton for setting him up to have that look in his upcoming book.
Prince Harry Inculpated The Prince And Princess Of Wales For His Nazi Uniform Scandal
A source informed Page Six that Prince Harry, in his upcoming memoir, Spare, had blamed Prince William and Kate Middleton for his Nazi uniform scandal in 2005. A photo of the Duke of Sussex dressed as a Nazi soldier with a large red swastika emblazoned on his armband appeared on the front page of The Sun newspaper when he was 20 years old. To attend a Native and Colonial-themed event in 2005, the Prince said he was considering wearing either a Nazi uniform or a pilot’s outfit. Prince William was also a guest at the event and wore a homemade lion outfit.
According to the outlet, Prince Harry wrote in one segment of the book,
“I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said. They both howled. Worse than Willy’s leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point.”
Another publishing source who has read his book Spare told the outlet,
“It’s strange as you would think that Harry would take ownership of this and just move on and not drag his brother into it, but he makes it clear that he feels strongly about William’s role in the scandal.”
His Nazi look became a huge scandal after being photographed in Nazi regalia and published in the newspaper. In expressing his feelings of humiliation and betrayal, the Duke of Sussex called the decision one of the biggest mistakes of his life.
Prince Harry’s Another Claim Of Physical Attack By His Brother Prince William
The Guardian reported that the Duke of Sussex wrote in his upcoming autobiography, Spare, his brother Prince William attacked him physically as their relationship broke down over his marriage to Suits star Meghan Markle. According to the outlet, the Duke of Sussex describes a confrontation with Markle at his London home in 2019, during which the Prince of Wales called Markle “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive,” which the Duke of Sussex calls a “parroting of the press narrative” about the Duchess of Sussex.
Prince Harry mentioned in Spare that Prince William attacked him in response and wrote,
“It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
As a result of a heated exchange with his brother at Nottingham Cottage, the 38-year-old prince claims to have sustained visible back injuries. Since the Sussex couple quit their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California, the brothers have had a tumultuous relationship.
