“They could barely speak to each other”: Gisele Bündchen Couldn’t Stand Tom Brady After NFL Legend’s Deflategate Controversy That Nearly Ended His Career

The legendary quarterback of American football, Tom Brady has been in the news a lot recently. As his marital problems with his wife, Gisele Bundchen continues, he has also been facing troubles professionally. Since he announced his retirement from the game back in February and then returned 6 weeks later, things have not been looking good for the seven-time SuperBowl champion. According to some sources, coaches and players have blamed him for Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ bad start to the season.

This isn’t the first time that the NFL legend has faced marital problems because of his professional life. Back in 2014, the couple went through a similar phase when Brady was caught up in the Deflategate Scandal.

Back in 2014, Tom Brady used to play for the New England Patriots. When they were up to face against the Indianapolis Colts, Brady allegedly ordered the deflation of the ball because he preferred a softer grip. NFL decided to look into the allegations and spent more than $20 million on the investigation. When found in the wrong, the legendary quarterback had to pay $1 million as a penalty. He also faced a 4 game suspension.

Things got really bad between the Tampa Bay QB and Gisele Bundchen after the Deflategate incident

According to sources, after the Deflategate controversy came to light, things started to go south in Brady’s household. A source reported, “Things got so bad after Deflategate that they could barely speak to each other.” As the conditions in their marriage worsened, Gisele Bundchen suggested counseling, something she knew Brady isn’t comfortable with. The counseling turned out to be in their favor eventually as they continued their married life happily.
