Over six long years after the breakdown of Hollywood’s “golden couple,” tensions remain ever-present in Brad Pitt’s relationship with his children. Fractured bonds and disappearance of contact with 22-year-old Maddox, 20-year-old Pax, and 18-year-old Zahara continue to torment their father.

Despite relentless efforts from Pitt and the support of skilled PR experts to facilitate reconciliation, recent revelations from his ex-wife Angelina Jolie have only exacerbated the once-beloved actor’s anxieties. Discussing her painful personal journey through “the last several years” since their divorce, Jolie’s comments served to twist the proverbial knife deeper into still-unhealed wounds, leaving Pitt fearful that restored closeness with his kids may forever remain out of reach.

According to OK, 22-year-old Maddox, 20-year-old Pax, and 18-year-old Zahara have gone fully no contact with Brad Pitt in the aftermath of his and Angelina Jolie’s divorce.

“They don’t speak to him anymore,” the source confirmed.

While a custody agreement does grant Pitt visitation with the youngest kids Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne, his isolation from the elder three has clearly taken a toll. Desperate to rebuild those fractured bonds, the insider says Pitt remains “optimistic” that someday, his estranged children will come back into his life.

The strain between Pitt and his children first surfaced after an alleged physical confrontation aboard a private plane back in 2016. The incident prompted Jolie to file for divorce and seek sole custody. While Pitt has since been cleared of abuse allegations, the relationship damage had already been done.

Eldest son Maddox reportedly testified against Pitt in the ensuing legal investigation. Meanwhile, middle children, Pax, and Zahara have made their estrangement clear through actions like Pax speaking negatively about his dad online and Zahara dropping Pitt from her last name. Understandably, these painful snubs have left Pitt disheartened.

Though anxious to move forward, constant media coverage makes that difficult as his custody battles and strained family dynamics remain in the public eye. Recent comments from Jolie discussing her challenging personal healing journey in the years since their split serve as added roadblocks preventing Pitt from achieving closure.

Ultimately, despite sparse communication, Pitt continues clinging to a sliver of hope. But with his ex-wife’s revelations about inner turmoil brought on by their “broken family,” Pitt worries even the most skilled PR rep may not be able to facilitate the reconciliation he so desperately seeks. Still, for the sake of his children, sources say he has no plans to ever fully let go of that possibility.

While Jolie asserts years spent focused on healing and rebuilding, Pitt remains trapped in lingering uncertainty. His optimism flickers but refuses to fully fade despite sons and daughters having severed contact completely. Regular reminders through media coverage of the broken bonds once considered unbreakable render forward progress elusive.
