Brad Pitt has endured his fair share of pranks at the hands of longtime friend George Clooney over the years. But it seems Pitt may finally be off the hook as Clooney has found a new target in actor Callum Turner. In a recent interview, Turner opened up about his experience working with Clooney on the new film The Boys in the Boat. While Clooney apparently couldn’t resist pranking his young co-star, Turner took it all in stride. Turner explained how Clooney and producer Grant Heslov jokingly “ripped the s***” out of him on set, likening their ribbing to an older brother messing with a younger sibling. For Pitt, this likely comes as a relief after being Clooney’s preferred prank victim for decades.

As per Independent.co, George Clooney and Brad Pitt have been friends since starring together in the Ocean’s franchise. But while Pitt considered Clooney a close buddy, that didn’t protect him from some ruthless pranking.

Over the years, Clooney pulled hilarious but elaborate pranks on Pitt like stealing his clothes and hiding farting devices in his room. The antics provided amusement for Clooney but took a toll on Pitt.

“I got him really good and he didn’t expect it,” Clooney said of one prank. “But he got me really good…I’ll never forget walking into a kitchen and just out of nowhere being covered in flour.”

Pitt once begged Clooney to stop, admitting the tricks caused him anxiety and made him wary of spending time with Clooney.

Now it seems up-and-coming actor Callum Turner has become Clooney’s newest prank guinea pig. Turner stars alongside Clooney in the based-on-a-true-story film The Boys in the Boat.

Despite being a lesser-known actor, Turner said he immediately hit it off with Clooney and Heslov on set. But that didn’t protect him from being the butt of their jokes.

“They would rip the s*** out of me all the time but in the most beautiful way,” Turner said, taking the pranks in stride. “George and Grant treated me like a little brother.”

Turner said he had long looked up to Clooney and was thrilled to work with the Ocean’s Eleven star, both as an actor and director. A bit of ribbing wasn’t going to spoil the overall experience.

While Clooney seems to have found fresh inspiration tormenting Turner, only time will tell if Pitt sees long-term relief. There’s always a chance Clooney will return to pranking his longtime pal in future collaborations.

For now, Pitt is likely grateful for the reprieve after years of being on guard around his jokester friend. Both stars remain busy with major projects, but their legendary friendship ensures their paths will continue crossing.
