For a marriage to last, finding a balance between work and personal life is essential. Simple things like date nights or weekend trips can help keep the connection strong. However, it seems that Hollywood couple George Clooney and Amal Clooney might be struggling with this balance.

Reports suggest that the Clooneys are finding it hard to spend quality time together because of their demanding careers. Their busy schedules are said to be keeping them apart and putting a strain on their relationship.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Clooney, who will celebrate a decade of marriage this September, reportedly find themselves spending less and less time together. The reason is their busy schedule.

The Ticket to Paradise star is laser-focused on upcoming film projects, while his wifey stays committed to her human rights cases. For those who are unaware, she is a barrister who fights for human rights and global justice. Sources close to the couple told In Touch Weekly:

They are both hardcore workaholics, so it’s like they’re in their own little bubble. They are in two very different worlds 90 percent of the day. They’re leading separate lives.

While they put their family first (including their adorable 7-year-old twins), friends close to the couple are concerned.

Friends Worry the Clooneys’ Careers Might Threaten Their Marriage

The couple pour their hearts into their projects, often working long hours. “Neither of them thinks twice about putting in 18-hour days on projects they’re passionate about,” the source added to the same outlet.

Their busy schedules hardly let them spend time as a couple. They only seem to coincide during vacations. Even in their beautiful lakeside house, they might do their own things instead of spending quality time together. They reportedly have their own social circles and staff, and their downtime focuses more on their children – Alexander and Ella (both 7) – and “not necessarily with each other.”

Some friends are concerned about their relationship’s future because they hardly spend time together as a couple. Even though they look great together at events and praise each other in public, friends wonder if their busy careers might affect their happy ending.
