Julia Louis-Dreyfus entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Valentina then appeared in Hawkeye and hired Yelena Belova to target Clint Barton. In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Valentina is in the role of the director of the CIA.

Recently while giving an interview to Screen Rant, Julia Louis-Dreyfus hinted and expressed her excitement that the character of Valentina will be further expanded in the upcoming Thunderbolts movie.

In September 2017, Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared with the public that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. It took her a year, and had to undergo a double mastectomy and six grueling rounds of chemotherapy, to finally be cancer-free. After her recovery, the talented actress also expressed her gratitude and gave credit to all those who were by her side in her low times.

“I was surrounded by people who were supporting me. That was hugely meaningful, and I needed it. It helped me to believe I was going to get through.”

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Speaks For Acknowledging Older Women’s Talent in Hollywood

Julia Louis-Dreyfus will be playing the lead role in You Hurt My Feelings, a comedy movie that is slated to hit the big screens on May 26. While talking to the People, Dreyfus shared that “Older women are very much made invisible in our culture. And that’s tragic.” She even shared that this was a major reason why the 62-year-old actress chose to play the lead role.

In her recent hit podcast, Wiser Than Me, Dreyfus had intellectual and amazing conversations with talented women like actress Jane Fonda, writer Isabel Allende and fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. She also expressed her concerns for older women in the industry and said,

“I saw this documentary on HBO called Jane Fonda in Five Acts. [As] I was watching it, I was thinking, God, you know, we just don’t hear from older women. We don’t do a deep dive very often into the lives of older women. They’ve lived, they have all this experience under their belt, and why aren’t we hearing from them?”
