“They’ve drifted apart as a couple”: Chris Hemsworth and Wife Elsa Pataky Are Reportedly Struggling After 13 Years of Marriage
Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have long been regarded as one of Hollywood’s strongest power couples. But after 13 years of marriage, new reports suggest the Thor star and Spanish actress have hit a rough patch and “drifted apart.” According to sources close to the couple, Hemsworth and Pataky are still putting on a united front for their three kids, 11-year-old daughter India and 9-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan. But as a couple, their relationship is on shaky ground.
What’s Causing Chris Hemsworth-Elsa Pataky Marriage Troubles?
So where did it all go wrong for the genetically blessed pair? According to In Touch Weekly, insiders point to their recent string of separate vacations as a “huge red flag.”
In October, Elsa Pataky jetted to Japan with the couple’s sons while Hemsworth embarked on a special trip to Iceland with their daughter India. The same pattern followed in November, with Pataky heading to Spain as her husband vacationed in Abu Dhabi with his brothers.
“The separate vacations are a huge red flag, but it’s more than that,” an insider explained. “They’re still very much a united family, but they’ve drifted apart as a couple.”

According to sources, Chris Hemsworth yearns for a “simpler life” while Pataky still craves the spotlight.
“They were the perfect husband-and-wife team for so long – both gorgeous, beautiful kids. Everything seemed picture-perfect,” the source noted. “But things have definitely changed.”
Could This Spell Divorce for the Hollywood Couple?
Rumors are swirling that Hemsworth and Pataky’s contrasting lifestyles and priorities could soon lead to divorce.
“The fact that he’s stepped away from Hollywood to focus on family and she’s wanting to act more isn’t a good sign,” the insider dished.
Just last year, Hemsworth announced he was taking a break from acting to spend more time with his kids in Byron Bay, Australia. Meanwhile, Pataky’s acting career seems busier than ever. The Spanish model signed on for the Netflix action movie, Interceptor, earlier this year and has expressed interest in more on-screen roles.
“Elsa wants more, but Chris just wants a quiet life,” the source explained, adding that Pataky is keen to return to Los Angeles while her husband prefers their relaxed Aussie lifestyle.
For now, the couple is still putting on a united front, even reuniting for a romantic holiday in Fiji last week. However according to sources, when the cameras stop rolling, all may not be well behind closed doors. If Hemsworth and Pataky can’t reconcile their differences, could a shock split be on the horizon for one of Hollywood’s golden couples?
