“This dumbass is a billionaire”: Elon Musk Gets Fact Checked By Twitter For Sharing Fake Quote in Embarrassment of the Year
Billionaire Elon Musk made a blunder and fans have not stopped trolling him for it. The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla recently acquired the famous social media platform, Twitter, for a whopping $44 billion. The billionaire is now the Chief Executive of the platform and recently tweeted a famous quote stating that it is from the Dune book series. However, many Twitter users corrected him claiming that the quote was originally said by psychologist Carl Jung. The billionaire was technically correct as the quote is actually from Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel, which the movie is also based on, but the origin of it came from Carl Jung.
Elon Musk tweeted a famous quote
Billionaire Elon Musk, who has been the center of attention lately, tweeted a quote on his Twitter account. He wrote, “Fanaticism is always a function of repressed doubt – Dune.” The billionaire claimed that the famous quote is from Dune, however, Twitter users quickly pointed out that the statement was actually said by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. The actual quote is, “Fanaticism is always a sign of repressed doubt.”
It was quite embarrassing, but he was somewhat correct as the quote was mentioned in Frank Herbert’s famous 1965 novel, from which Dune (2021) is adapted. “Fanaticism is always a sign of repressed doubt” was said by Iblis Ginjo in the book.
The billionaire got trolled on Twitter
After tweeting the quote, many Twitter users slammed the billionaire on his own platform saying that he is too dumb to be a millionaire.
