“This is gonna be terrible”: Fans Cringe as Drake Reveals His First Shot at Writing a Poetry Book ‘Titles Ruin Everything’
Drake, a Canadian singer whose real name is Aubrey Graham, wants to expand his literary career after announcing the publication of his first poetry collection. Like his music projects, which he typically releases with little to no promotion, this project from the rapper also surprises the fans.
The new project from the artist follows Her Loss, a joint album with 21 Savage that served as the third installment in a trilogy that also included Certified Lover Boy and Honestly, Nevermind.

Drake announces upcoming poetry book with Kenza Samir
Drake took to his social media to share with his fans that he collaborated with songwriter Kenza Samir, who has had some co-writing credits on his songs for his upcoming poetry book titled, Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream Of Consciousness By Kenza Samir & Aubrey Graham.
The artist wrote on his social media, “I don’t know if I have ever wanted people to buy or support something more in my life.” The book will be available for purchase at Drake’s official online merchandiser, Drake Related.
Drake first teased the book during his Table For One radio show on SiriusXM last year. He said at the time,
“Thank you to everybody who helped me with this. Shout-out to Kenza. Kenza, I love you. I want to send you some love. Me and Kenza have a book coming out this year – we have a book coming out this year, a poetry book.”
Fans react to Drake’s poetry book
As soon as Drake announced his book on his social media, fans were quick to take to their social media to share their thoughts on the book by the artist and the reactions were pretty extreme. A user said, “This is gonna be terrible”, while another user compared Drake with The Weeknd’s Tedros character from The Idol and they tweeted, “Somehow I feel like Drake would have loved playing Tedros even more than The Weeknd does and that’s a high bar.”
Users also asked the artist how he managed to find a ghostwriter for his poetry book when the writers’ strike was still going on. Users on the Internet went ahead to claim that Drake wants to be like Lana Del Rey so badly, whereas some mentioned that maybe he is just running out of ideas at this point.

Drake’s first solo Search & Rescue has a Kim Kardashian connection
The Canadian rapper dropped the melancholy head-bopper Search & Rescue in April, his first solo single of the year, which features a Kim Kardashian sample. After the first chorus of Search & Rescue, which the rapper had previously previewed on SiriusXM Radio, a sample of Kardashian is heard talking about her breakup with her ex-husband Kanye West in 2021.
“I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy”, she tells her mother in the series finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Observe that.
The use of a sample in the song only indicated, according to reports, that the artist is aware of what goes on in the entertainment and music industries in general. Some people suggested that the artist might be attempting to rekindle his feud with Kanye West, but this is untrue.
In reality, the lyrics are about something else—a request for a serious commitment made to his ideal romantic partner. The rapper admits in the song’s lyrics that he wants a partner who will make money alongside him rather than use him as a means of accumulating wealth. He is singing to his ideal match in the hopes that she will appear, show that she is unique from the others, and take him off the market.
