Selena Gomez celebrated her recent birthday with a heartfelt message for her fans and loved ones. The Only Murders In The Building star also revealed on her social media account the gift she wants the most on her 31st birthday. Gomez’s commitment to mental health awareness and the urge to help young people led her to establish the Rare Impact Fund in 2020, which aims to address mental health and self-acceptance issues, a cause close to Selena’s heart.

Saturday was a blast for Selena Gomez as the pop star was in full celebration mode on the occasion of her 31st birthday. On this eve, she took to Instagram and revealed the gift she wants most on her special day.
Sharing a picture of herself blowing out candles, Gomez captioned it, “I am thankful for so much in my life and one of the things I am most thankful for is the work we’ve been able to do with the Rare Impact Fund through @Rarebeauty,” “Because of YOU we’ve been able to raise awareness and increase access to mental health services for young people. This is my true passion in life.”
Gomez’s makeup company Rare Beauty launched the Rare Impact Fund on her 28th birthday in July 2020. She continued, “People keep asking me what I want for my birthday, and I tell everyone the same thing please do not get me anything but if you want to do something for my birthday, please donate to the Rare Impact Fund. If you have the means, consider donating to help us make a difference.” The actress concluded her post by saying, “I Love You” to all her well-wishers, and also shared a donation link at the end.

Gomez knows her journey can help others, although she wouldn’t describe being a mental health care advocate as her calling. She even pointed out that now she has finally overcome it having a command over her life.
