This new show is marking Agatha Harkness’ much-anticipated return to the screens since her last appearance was in the show WandaVision. However, the new still released has drawn a reaction from the fans that is the opposite of excitement due to the poor visual quality of the still.

Agatha: All Along is a spin-off of the series WandaVision, released in 2021. Although the show went into development in October 2021, it does not release until later this year.

With Jac Schaeffer serving as the creator and lead director, Kathryn Hahn is playing the lead role. In addition to Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza also star in the show.

The trailer for the show was released not so long ago and a new still has just made its way on the internet. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be having the expected effect on a lot of fans as most of them were quick to realize that the visual is somewhat out of place in the still. Here is what some of them had to say:

The still was exclusively revealed by Total Film. It shows Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Patti Lupone, Ali Ahn, Sasheer Zamata, and Debra Jo Rupp standing together in a spooky forest looking at something/someone that is off-camera.

This is not the first time a Marvel project has been publicly bashed for its visuals. Last year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had more or less the same kind of problem. That said, the trailer for this show is rather promising so hopefully, it is nothing like this new still.

Jac Schaeffer Opened Up About Working With Aubrey Plaza

In the new still, Aubrey Plaza is the one missing piece. Plaza is making her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with this show. In the upcoming issue of Total Film, Schaeffer spoke about working with her.

It was a pleasure to work with Aubrey because she’s so funny and such a live wire, and she’s so unpredictable in the best way. All of that is thrilling and funny, but also she’s so interested in going as deep as she possibly can in any scenario, even if it’s comedic.

In addition to this, Schaeffer also revealed that besides being a comic treat, the show will have plenty of pathos. As if that is not exciting enough, there will also be some new songs.

Agatha: All Along is set to be released on Disney+ on September 18, 2024.
