Cardi B’s moral authority challenged over Dalai Lama’s response

Cardi B has been known for her interest in political issues. Her political views and involvement have both generated praise and criticism. In one instinct, the rapper, who responded to the allegedly pedophilic behavior of Dalai Lama, was harshly trolled for her criminal past and questioned about her moral authority.  The 87th Tibetan spiritual leader was accused of s*xually exploiting a boy at a public event by kissing him and allegedly telling him to “suck his tongue”. The Tibetan monk has declared an apology to the boy and his family for any hurt his words may have caused.

Following this, the hip-hop star responded to the news by tweeting a warning that “this world is full of predators,” along with advice to parents, telling them to “talk about personal boundaries with their kids and what they shouldn’t allow people to do to them.”

However, her moral intention to respond to social causes resulted in a backfire when the Instagram gossip groups circled her for admitting her past criminal activities, including robbing and drugging men when she worked at a New York strip club years ago. They battered her, calling her “the wrong messenger” and mocked her past experiences with motherhood and being a victim of abuse as a teen.

Cardi B then went live on Instagram and explained the basic difference between sneaking cash from illicit customers and pursuing small children to do inappropriate things. She said that,
“Yall are not going to keep doing this,” she said. “For y’all to say that I’m some predator… because n****s wanted to buy some p*ssy from me? These weren’t vulnerable men. Did I touch their body? No. Robbing and raping are two different types of sh*t.”
She addressed those attackers as “projecting”, “I just have to realize the people attacking me are just projecting”, implying that the individuals had major illnesses and psychological issues that made them project their feelings and frustration onto her. Finally, she expressed her gratitude for the support she’s receiving from her followers and the public in general.

Cardi B once made a revelation on social media about her criminal past. In an Instagram video, she said, “Whether or not they were poor choices at the time, I did what I had to do to survive”. The rapper worked as an exotic dancer (stripper) before her music career took off. She pursued her education through her stripping career. She also mentioned that she never claimed to be perfect or come from a perfect world and added that there are too many artists who glorify their past criminality.
“I never glorified the things I brought up in that life; I never even put those things in my music because I’m not proud of them and feel a responsibility not to glorify them.
Some users compared the rapper to disgraced comedian Bill Cosby, who is now facing s*xual allegations against a former NBC intern following his 2018 imprisonment for a similar case. Cardi B is now mother to two children: 5-year-old Kulture Kiari Cephus and 2-year-old Wave Set Cephus, with Offset.
