“When you look at Oppenheimer’s life and you look at his story, that aspect of his life, the aspect of his se**ality, his way with women, the charm that he exuded, it’s an essential part of his story”.
He continued by praising Robert Downey Jr. who plays Lewis Strauss, a former naval officer and initial ally of Oppenheimer’s who later turns against him and becomes a key figure in revoking his security clearance at the controversial 1954 Atomic Energy Commission hearings.
“Downey is so super smart and has incredible insights and is incredibly emotionally available. But the way I work, I don’t really like talking about it too much. I don’t see the benefit of it,”.
Murphy added while talking about Downey.
