The rumors about him dating one of his co-stars strangely establish a connection between him and pop singer Harry Styles as the two of them seemed to have dated the same celebrity at some point.

Timothée Chalamet has been acting since he was a child. He began doing TV roles as a teenager and even got the opportunity to do a minor role in Christopher Nolan’s 2014 movie, Interstellar. Unfortunately, it did not give his career the boost he expected.
His career finally picked up pace in 2017 when he starred as the protagonist Elio in Luca Guadagnino’s film adaptation of Call Me by Your Name. The role earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. That same year, he also appeared in Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird.
While he reunited with Gerwig 2 years later for his supporting role in Little Women, he worked with Guadagnino again after 5 years in the 2022 movie Bones and All. He starred alongside Taylor Russell in this movie and the duo had such stunning chemistry that it was hard to tell whether it was real or acting.
Watching the duo promote their movie and The King actor dropping subtle hints on social media made the true nature of their relationship more doubtful. Recently, a fan on X posted a collage of pictures that Chalamet posted on his Instagram at the time.
Another fan posted a short video that suggested that the duo might have dated or at least that the Dune star had a little crush on Russell.
Some of those posts are still up on Chalamet’s Instagram. The duo never confirmed or denied anything so all fans can do is speculate whether or not it really happened. That said, Russell was rumored to have been in a relationship with Harry Styles for almost a year.
Harry Styles and Taylor Russell reportedly dated for almost a year
Styles and Russell first stirred relationship rumors when a fan posted a compilation of photos on TikTok showing the duo getting into a car together in late June 2023. Following this, the duo were spotted supporting each other by attending events related to their careers (via PEOPLE).
They were even seen holding hands or walking together in London a couple of times before their relationship reportedly ended in May 2024. Throughout the time that they were seen together, none of them exclusively confirmed a relationship between themselves. So, perhaps they wanted to keep it as quiet as possible although that is hardly ever possible when one is a global icon.
A rumored relationship with Russell is not all that Styles and Chalamet have in common as they both have also been seen riding the Lime electric bike. A fan posted the pictures side-by-side on X. While the As It Was singer was seen riding the bike on a personal quest, Chalamet rode it to the UK premiere of A Complete Unknown.
