Tom Brady Scores Rare Win Amidst Gisele Bundchen Constantly Humiliating Him – His Controversial Re-Signed US Flag Being Sold for $299K for Charity
The infamous Tom Brady-signed American flag was the subject of a legal dispute with the Patriots Hall of Fame last year. According to recent reports, Brady’s stars and stripes, which were first signed and then renewed after the flag’s owner’s dispute with New England’s Hall of Fame inductee in 2021, will be put up for auction on eBay later this month.
No matter how much it ultimately will sell for, according to reports, the funds raised will go to a worthy cause. For the unheard, the flag was flown at Foxboro Stadium during the Patriots’ game against the Miami Dolphins on December 22, 2001.
After Drew Bledsoe suffered an injury earlier that year, Brady began the Patriots’ second season as the team’s starting quarterback. The following year, in Super Bowl XXXVI, he led the Patriots to their first of six championship victories with New England by shocking the St. Louis Rams.
Tom Brady Re-Signed US Flag to Be Sold at Auction
The G.O.A.T. has re-signed the extremely rare flag bearing Tom Brady’s signature, which the Patriots Hall of Fame was said to have destroyed.
Owner of the flag, Daniel Vitale was initially furious about the situation last year, claiming that the Patriots’ Hall of Fame officials had ruined Tom Brady’s signature on the 1-of-1 American flag. He claimed that it was improperly displayed after he temporarily donated it to them.
He has since decided to donate a portion of the earnings to Behavioral Health and Developmental Services of Strafford County, Inc., a charity that works to support autistic people.
Brady, however, re-signed it after the Buccaneers vs. Seahawks game last season. Vitale expressed his excitement over the new signature and said he thought it was once again worth over $1 million. According to Vitale, the new signature is amazing and “four times” as large as the original.
As per reports, the father of three also filed a lawsuit over the incident, claiming that the flag was potentially worth $1 million less and that the Patriots Hall of Fame should compensate him for his losses.
The Item will Go Up for Auction On March 23
When the flag is eventually sold, the new owner will acquire a lovely item of Brady memorabilia, one with a fascinating backstory. As we previously mentioned, it first flew over Foxboro Stadium during a New England vs. Miami game in 2001. The same year Brady took over as the Patriots’ starting quarterback. Brady later added his signature to the flag.
And then Daniel Vitale purchased it and gave it to the Hall of Fame for display, but he alleged that staff members improperly handled it and allowed the signature to fade. In 2022, he filed a lawsuit, claiming that their errors caused the piece’s value to drop by $1 million.
Brady, however, re-signed it after the Buccaneers vs. Seahawks game in big, black ink last season. The piece, in Vitale’s opinion, is now worth significantly more than the $1 million that was originally estimated for it.
Although the flag has great sentimental value to Vitale, he added,
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to auction it on eBay so another collector can own this rare piece of sports history and in the process, support those with autism — including my youngest daughter.”
Tom Brady finally achieves a rare victory, while Gisele Bundchen, his ex-wife, continued to humiliate him in the past. The native of Brazil married Tom Brady in 2009. The couple moved to Florida when the quarterback signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. They have two kids.
The item will be up for auction starting on March 23 and running through April 1.
