“Thank you all for your love, compassion and kindness”: Tom Brady is Grateful to Gisele Bündchen Despite Recent Issues in Their Relationship
Tom Brady posted a heartfelt message on Sunday, May 14, wishing his ex-wife a Happy Mother’s Day. The NFL player sent some gorgeous pictures of all the significant women in his life along with the effusive statement. The post included images of Brady’s three adorable children, his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, his mother Galynn, the mother of the football player’s first son, his first wife Bridgette Moynahan, and Brady.

In the post, Brady wrote,
“Happy Mother’s Day to all of these amazing women who have given so much to our family throughout their lives. Thank you all for your love, compassion, and kindness, and for setting such an incredible example for our little ones. We are all so grateful for your support and for helping us achieve our dreams. I wish all the mothers of the world a special day with the people who love them most.”
Brady and Bundchen divorced after 13 years of marriage during his 23rd and final NFL season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce,” Bundchen wrote on her Instagram story at the time. “My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve.”
Both Brady and Gisele Bundchen wanted a family when they first started dating, when they were 26 and 29, respectively. However, over time, she said, they realized that they wanted “different things.”
Tom Brady has been able to keep up good relations with both of his children’s mothers. When he officially announced his retirement from the NFL earlier this year, Bundchen sent him best wishes. She posted a praying hands emoji and the message, “Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,” to Instagram.
In 2022, after announcing his first retirement, Moynahan praised her ex, stating on Instagram, “Yesterday, today, and I believe you will accomplish amazing things tomorrow. anticipating the following actions.”
Brady’s Mother’s Day post was made six months after his 13-year marriage to Gisele Bundchen ended. Although there were suspicions that the divorce was caused by Tom Brady’s decision to continue playing football professionally at the time, the stunning model acknowledged in a recent interview with Vanity Fair that there were a variety of things that contributed to the “heartbreaking” separation. She argued that “everything” was incorrect and that occasionally, individuals simply “grow apart.” She added that she still wished Tom well despite the breakup of their romance.

When both Brady and Moynahan’s careers were at their pinnacle, they started dating in 2004, according to People. The New England Patriots had just won their second Super Bowl, and actress Moynahan was a guest star on the smash popular HBO series S*x and the City.
According to People, a spokesperson for Moynahan said she was pregnant with their baby two months after the pair announced their breakup in 2006—around the time Brady and Bündchen started dating.

In the cover story for the April 2023 issue of Vanity Fair, which was released on Wednesday, the supermodel was open about co-parenting with the mother of Jack Brady, the oldest son of her ex-husband Tom Brady. “I have a great relationship with her,” Bundchen said of the actress before noting that “everything in life comes with work.”
“You have to go through the roller coaster,” she went on. “You have moments where you get to the sticky points and you’ve gotta overcome it.”
