Tom Brady’s $6M 77-foot Yacht ‘Viva a Vida’ He Bought for Ex-Wife Gisele Bundchen Would Make Captain Nemo Jealous
With a net worth of over $500M, Tom Brady is also an owner of a million-dollar yacht apart from owning a couple of luxurious homes and cars. Last year he upgraded his yacht by swapping his smaller Wajer 55s for a bigger one. And it seems that he had his family in his mind while purchasing the boat.
According to the former quarterback, his family frequently went on a trip to the Bahamas. But the name ‘Viva a Viva’ given to the boat is related to his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. At the time they had been together and Brady was still playing in the NFL. All in all, the Yacht is the dream of many and it sure is a mark of a luxurious life.
Tom Brady Purchased a 6 Million Dollar Luxurious Yacht
Amid everything that has been going on in Tom Brady’s life and career, he has also bought several luxurious stuff. And one of them is his million-dollar yacht. Last year, it came out via Forbes that the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers upgraded his yacht Wajer 55s for a bigger one. The upgraded version is a Wajer 77, worth around $6 million. It was reported that he would be receiving the yacht at the end months of 2022. As for the 80 for Brady actor, he explained the reason behind the upgrade saying,
“I think the 77 will be a little bit more suited for what we need it for down here, which is a few more day trips and weekend trips”
Furthermore, he also shared that his family (his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen included at the time) made trips to the Bahamas a lot. Therefore a bigger Yacht was comparatively much better for them.
And as happens with yachts and boats, he has named the Wajer 77 the same as his previous one. It is called Viva a Viva which is kept after Bundchen’s environmental organization and is Portuguese for ‘Live Life’. Also, this was before his divorce, otherwise, he probably would have named it differently.
What Caused the Divorce Between Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen?
It all allegedly was a result of Gisele Bundchen’s demand that Tom Brady retire from his profession. According to sources, she did not like the fact that NFL demanded so much time from the athlete, especially away from his family. It was said that Brady used to be away from his home and children for sometimes 6 months straight.
Adding to that, the model also seemed to be concerned about her ex-husband getting inflicted with serious injuries. And ultimately she decided to call it quits after more than a decade of marriage. They decided on shared custody of their two children.
