Tom Hanks Gets Into Intense Altercation With Mystery Man at Cannes Premiere, Risks Losing Hollywood’s Gentleman Title
Tom Hanks, a well-known Hollywood actor, who has starred in movies like Cast Away, Bridge of Spies, and Forrest Gump, among others, is regarded as an American cultural icon. However, the 66-year-old actor is often in the news headlines for different reasons as well.
Recently, he appeared to be extremely angry at a staff worker as he walked the red carpet at the Asteroid City premiere on Tuesday at the Cannes Film Festival. The Forrest Gump actor, who was there with his wife, Rita Wilson, also 66, looked unusually frustrated as he jabbed a finger at the younger man.
On May 23, the two accompanied each other down the red carpet to support the film’s special screening. Online images show the Oscar winner furiously pointing his finger at the younger man and sternly addressing him. Also, his wife also looked furious as she raised her hand while addressing the man.
It’s unclear what they were talking about, but the mysterious man was also seen pointing at Hanks as the actor posed on the red carpet with his other Asteroid City co-stars.

Tom Hanks Gets In Heated Argument With A Man At Cannes Film Fest
During his red carpet appearance for his new movie, Asteroid City at the Cannes Film Festival on May 23, Tom Hanks seemed to rebuke a staff member. The actor was present at the occasion with his wife, Rita Wilson, who also has a role in the movie. She also appeared frustrated as her husband pointed at the man.
However, the unnamed man appeared to be making an effort to diffuse the situation. He could be seen speaking to the pair while sporting a smart tuxedo suit and bow tie.
Although Hanks continued to display a frustrated expression, he eventually walked down the red carpet to pose for pictures.
As the trio conversed and then walked down the red carpet to pose for pictures at the event, the Cast Away actor nevertheless seemed to be still angry. Hanks wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt and matching bow tie and looked dapper.
On the other hand, his wife appeared elegant in a stylish black dress and a long black cloak that trailed the ground behind her. The dress was adorned with silver jewels that sparkled in the red carpet spotlights.

Asteroid City Stars Tom Hanks As A ‘Grandfather’
In Asteroid City, directed by Wes Anderson, Jason Schwartzman plays a widower who takes his four children to see their grandfather (Tom Hanks).
The 1950s are the setting for the sci-fi romantic comedy-drama, Asteroid City, which takes place in a fictitious ghost town in the American desert. It chronicles the pivotal events that took place at a Junior Stargazer convention in 1955.
In addition to Hanks’ wife, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jason Schwartzman, Maya Hawke, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, and Bryan Cranston, are all prominent roles in the science fiction comedy.
Also, the film will feature cameo appearances from Hope Davis, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Uma Thurman, and Maya Hawke (the daughter of Ethan Hawke). Moreover, a six-minute standing ovation was given during the May 23 world premiere of Asteroid City at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
Asteroid City will make its theatrical debut on June 16.
