The filming for Paramount’s Top Gun sequel is underway and this means that fans will soon get to see Tom Cruise play Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.

A new bunch of set photos was revealed recently, showing Cruise rocking the aviators and a bomber jacket while riding onto a motorcycle.

Top Gun: Maverick is being filmed in San Diego, having filmed earlier at Naval Station North Island in May. We don’t have many details about the film yet, but the final cast was revealed recently, with the film’s release date set in 2020.

The film is a sequel to the 1986 classic starring Tom Cruise, and has been underway for years, but struggled to move ahead after the death of Tony Scott. However, all of this changed when a picture was shared by Cruise, where you can see him wearing full flight gear with a jet in the background.

Top Gun: Maverick stars Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, and many others. The film is slated to release on June 26, 2020.
