“Trashy, tortured misfire from beginning to end”: Amber Heard’s ‘Gigantically Ill-Conceived’ $8M Thriller Was Slapped With a 0% Rotten Tomatoes Rating
The makers of any movie hope that the end result will have such an impact that it will be talked about for years to come. But sometimes that’s accomplished for all the wrong reasons. Rotten Tomatoes, the aggregation review site, has become known as the home for movie fans to find what’s worth watching and what should be skipped by the “Tomatometer” rating on every movie, which ranks them from 0% to 100%.
Rarely, but not never, does the review aggregate website assign a movie with a score of 0% approval. And what’s this? Among the worst films ever produced is one from Amber Heard.

Which Amber Heard Movie Has Been Termed As Trashy?
As you may have observed, due to her protracted and contentious legal battles with her ex-husband Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has a somewhat divisive reputation among the general public.
London Fields, a film starring Amber Heard that received mediocre reviews from both critics and the general public, got the worst of it. The mystery thriller’s filming was originally finished in 2013, but it wouldn’t be released until October 2018. When it did, it quickly vanished without a trace after grossing less than $500,000 at the box office and garnering a dismal 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Amber Heard stars in this thriller in which she has an affair with three men, one of whom she knows will be her murderer. Heard stars in London Fields as Nicola Six.
The press release is the nicest thing anyone has ever said about London Fields because it is such an abject failure on all fronts. The London Fields marketing team didn’t create posters with any quotes in big letters above the title, which is actually a failure on their side. Written as: “A massive undertaking following a complex administration and ongoing legal issues.”
“Quite simply, horrendous — a trashy, tortured misfire from beginning to end.” — reviewed Jeannette Catsoulis of The New York Times
A 1989 darkly comedic, widely praised novel, London Fields by British mystery writer Martin Amis served as the inspiration for the film. However, it seems that the adaptation fell short of capturing the essence of the original.
This movie was so bad, that director Mathew Cullen told The Hollywood Reporter of the movie’s seething pans, “I’ve read the reviews. I agree with them.”

5 Other Movies From The 2010s to Get 0% Rotten Tomatoes Score
The Disappointments Room (2016): Kate Beckinsale and Mel Raido feature in the 2016 psychological horror movie The Disappointments Room. The film depicts the uninteresting and entirely derivative tale of a couple who learn that their new home has a hidden and sinister past and explore the horrors therein. According to Marc Savlov of the Austin Chronicle, “The Disappointments Room lives (and dies) up to its name,” while according to Robert Abele of The Wrap, the film is “a litany of embarrassments.”
Dark Tide (2012): One of the select few actresses with both an Oscar and a Razzie to her name is Halle Berry. Both organizations passed on recognizing her 2012 picture Dark Tide, an action-horror hybrid that vanished as swiftly as it appeared from popular culture. Upon its premiere, Dark Tide was described as “shallow and brackish” by Rotten Tomatoes, and audiences mostly agreed, awarding the movie a 16% audience rating.
A Thousand Words (2012): How can you tell whether a movie is bad? Like, truly, truly awful? It was filmed four full years before it was made available to the public. Eddie Murphy’s A Thousand Words, this was the situation. Critics, especially those connected to Rotten Tomatoes, absolutely detested the movie and said that Murphy’s abilities were severely wasted by having him sit silently for so much of the movie. The movie was eventually nominated for three dishonorable Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Picture, but lost them all, further demeaning the picture.
Dark Crimes (2016): Dark Crimes, a 2016 true crime thriller offended viewers because they thought it handled its delicate subject matter poorly, making it one of Jim Carey’s worst films ever. You go into the movie rooting for its success because its premise and cast are so exciting, but it never ever meets you there. Dark Crimes is uncomfortable and uninteresting, not just boring and dull.
Stratton (2017): Stratton is a generic action film that never elevates itself to the level of those more respectable outings. The Dominic Cooper-starring movie quickly faded into obscurity and joined the ranks of other forgettable action movies that failed to connect with viewers.
What is Amber Heard Doing In 2023?
We all watched the Depp v Heard circus till the year 2022 was over. What is Amber Heard doing now that the dust has begun to settle? Let’s check in quickly to see what Amber has planned now that her off-screen turmoil appears to be calming down.
Heard’s career isn’t fully gone, even if Hollywood producers aren’t pounding on her door anymore—she still has two projects in the works. Despite numerous requests for her to be removed from the Aquaman sequel, she will return as Mera in the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which is now in production and is anticipated to be released this year.
Despite the petition’s failure to totally remove Heard or replace her with the desired Emilia Clarke, Heard’s position remained unchanged. Amber Heard appears to be taking some time off to reflect, raise her daughter, and take her time adding new roles to her portfolio.
