Travis Kelce has shown his magic on the field as the Kansas Chiefs’ tight end and is now moving to the screens. He can be seen in the trailer of Ryan Murphy’s upcoming horror series Grotesquerie, which features several other stars.
It would not be a reach to say that at this point, one can easily tell what a show created by Murphy is going to entail. It is going to be scary but, at the same time, sensual. Throw in a famous person, whom one might or might not have seen before on the screens, in a buzz cut. Not to forget, good actors are saying something extremely outlandish with a straight face.
This also happens to be the recipe for his upcoming TV series Grotesquerie, with a couple of other things here and there. However, the thing that seems to be attracting a lot of attention is Taylor Swift’s boyfriend’s presence in the first trailer.
The Trailer for Travis Kelce Starrer Horror Series Grotesquerie is Out
Travis Kelce is no stranger to stardom, thanks to his profession as an NFL player. In recent years, his fame has reached new heights because of his much-publicized relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, whom he absolutely adores. The two are speculated to have begun dating in August 2023 and went public with it a few months later. These days, the couple is inseparable, and fans could not have been happier.
Besides playing football, Kelce also co-hosts a podcast titled New Heights with his brother Jason Kelce. They discuss many things on the podcast including the occasional topic of Travis Kelce’s relationship with Swift. However, these days, the athlete is making headlines for his role in Ryan Murphy’s horror series Grotesquerie, the trailer for which has been released recently on YouTube.
Kelce gives an introduction before the trailer actually starts. His role has not been disclosed yet. By the looks of it, the character he is portraying is quite serious and might not have any room for his typical goofball energy. That said, this is his acting debut so it is obviously a big deal for him.
Everything We Know About Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie
Besides Kelce, the trailer features Niecy Nash-Betts in the role of Detective Lois Tryon. She is responsible for hunting down a serial killer who is taking lives in the most gruesome way one can possibly think of. In the absence of any other leads, she accepts the help of Sister Megan (Micaela Diamond), a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian.
The show also stars Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Nicholas Alexander Chaveza, and Raven Goodwin. Max Winkler is known to have directed the first two episodes of the show while Murphy created and executive produced the series, set to premiere on FX with the first two episodes.
Grotesquerie will premiere on Spetember 25, 2024.
