Tribute to Luke Perry by Riverdale star in the final episode
Riverdale bids several departures.
Tonight’s episode of Riverdale saw several goodbyes with a departure and both personality departures, but it is the horrible goodbye with the death of Luke Perry that one show superstar took to websites to honor at a post.
Ashleigh Murray, who plays Josie on The CW drama, took to Twitter earlier to pay tribute to Luke Perry by posting the music video for “Back to Black”, the tune her character played at tonight’s “Fear the Reaper.” This one was unique to Murray since the tune is showcased in Perry episode, while music movies from episodes are not a normal event.

Murray posts a tribute for Luke Perry
“This video is upsetting because it reminds me of Luke,” Ashleigh Murray wrote. “Just how much that he believed in me, my voice, ability. Over that I did. Luke loved watching me and I could think. Tonight is for us. #Riverdale.”
“Josie”…
This video is touching because it reminds me of Luke. How much he believed in me, my voice, talent. More than I did most days. Luke loved seeing me on stage and I can think of a moment we shared from each song.Tonight is for us. #riverdale https://t.co/OuF6SpW04W

Perry’s advice, support and friendship are matters that others included with Riverdale recalled last month in the aftermath of the celebrity’s unexpected passing at age 52 after a huge stroke. Camila Mendes, who plays with Veronica Lodge on the show recalled how he cared for everybody.
Mendes’ comment on Luke Perry
“He cared for us all,” Mendes said of Perry on social networking. “An authentic person who enjoy offering us his advice and wisdom. His existence was recovery; he had the capability. I won’t ever forget distress and that the shock when the news broke on place, we’ve experienced. We lost a dear friend. My heart hurts because of anyone and his loved ones who had the joy of knowing him. Rest in peace. I could recall what it felt like although you are no longer about to wrap in the heat of your own hug. Whenever I think of you, I’ll keep in mind that feeling.”
Perry’s Fred Andrews had a rather modest part in tonight’s episode, just emerging in a set scene in Riverdale’s hospital at which Archie (KJ Apa) discovered his former boxing rival had expired after a game between both. Fred appeared with Archie at a scene that was second, reassuring his son he was not accountable for the death of another guy. It was a spectacle for the personality.
How will Riverdale be wrapped up?
While it’s uncertain if and the episodes filmed following Perry’s departure will be wrapped up at by Fred’s narrative, the show’s creative team have theorized it will become addressed.
“You know, frankly, we’re I believe all in shock and so are still processing and grieving,” Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa clarified in an interview a month. “We all know that we must tackle it somehow, but we are giving ourselves a small amount of space and time before we figure out the perfect way to honor him.”
Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
