Trisha Paytas’ Horrific Claims About David Dobrik Prove His YouTube Return Won’t Easily Change His Doomed Public Image

Years ago, YouTube stars Trisha Paytas and David Dobrik were friends. However, their friendship completely fell apart. Since then, Paytas has not missed any chance to claim that Dobrik and his friends are messed up and accused them of actions that people would find hard to believe.
David Dobrik has recently made his YouTube comeback and showed off his ripped body in a new picture. While some are absolutely ecstatic about his return, many others still remember the numerous controversies he became the center of in the past couple of years including the allegations that Paytas made against him and the Vlog Squad.
Trisha Paytas made some serious allegations against David Dobrik and other members of Vlog Squad
In the summer of 2017, Trisha Paytas and Jason Nash began dating. This made her a part of the YouTube creators group Vlog Squad, led by Nash’s friend David Dobrik. Most people would think about what could possibly go wrong with Paytas becoming a part of that group. In fact, if anything, it would benefit her. The truth, according to Paytas, could not be further than that.
Paytas and Dobrik seemed to have become friends at first, but things started to get ugly when the latter kept making jokes at the expense of Paytas and Nash’s relationship (via Business Insider). In the beginning, she was on board assuming they were harmless jokes. However, soon it turned out that Dobrik, in fact, did not mean well. She was subject to embarrassing situations and disturbing pranks and it was all because of Dobrik.
It would not be a stretch to say that there were three people in that relationship considering how much influence Dobrik had over Nash and Paytas’ love life. So, obviously, when Paytas broke up with Nash for the final time (yes, they broke up a couple of times and reunited) in early 2019, she went ballistic and refused to keep any more secrets of the Vlog Squad.
She went as far as accusing the members of Vlog Squad of s*xual assault. In an episode of the Frenemies podcast, she also claimed that Dobrik forces people into doing things that they do not want to. That said, neither Dobrik nor Nash have responded to either of these claims in all these years.
Trisha Paytas has reacted to David Dobrik’s return to YouTube
David Dobrik let fans know about his personal milestone of going through a stunning body transformation by uploading his first YouTube video in three years. He also posted a side-by-side of his before and after on Instagram. His body transformation has definitely attracted some eyeballs.
However, Trisha Paytas is as unamused as ever as she posted a shady comment about Dobrik’s comeback on X, and fans are completely supporting her.
The YouTube video in question reveals that Dobrik decided to embark on this fitness journey as a part of a bet with MrBeast. It also includes appearances of many celebrities like Josh Peck, Olivia Jade Giannulli, Noah Beck, and Dixie D’Amelio.
All this, however, might not do anything to redeem Dobrik’s reputation after ex-Vlog Squad member Jeff Wittek sued him and asked for $10 million in damages for his near-fatal injuries (via PEOPLE). The worst part of this was probably that Dobrik never reached out to Wittek to wish him well after the accident.
In 2021, Dobrik apologized for the r*pe and s*xual assault allegations against a former collaborator, saying that he believed the women. After the report surfaced online, at least a dozen brands allegedly dropped him (via New York Post). Moreover, BBC reported earlier that year that YouTube also demonetized all three of Dobrik’s channels. Considering all of this, it does not seem very likely that he can be redeemed.
