After a recent post on social media by Miley Cyrus, it just doesn’t feel as if everything is okay between the Grammy Award and her musician dad.
Miley Cyrus Snubs Her Father Billy Cyrus On Social Media
The 31-year-old singer-songwriter, Miley Cyrus bagged the best pop solo performance and the record of the year for her popular track Flowers. The Wrecking Ball singer expressed her gratitude to everyone but did not mention her father during the acceptance speech. She thanked her team, her mother, her sister, her boyfriend Maxx Mordana, and her dog, but did not speak a single word about her father Billy Ray Cyrus.
Miley’s acceptance speech mentioned-
“This award is amazing. But I really hope that it doesn’t change anything because my life was beautiful yesterday. Everyone standing on the stage i.e. Tom, Tyler, Michael, and Greg. Our teams, my team, Crush, Columbia, my mommy, my sister, my love, my main gays because look how good I look. I don’t think I forgot anyone,”
She even expressed her heartfelt gratitude on X and posted about her godmother Dolly Parton, her mother, and her sister. The post mentioned-

The snub comes after Miley Cyrus’ mother Tish Cyrus parted ways in April 2022 after being married for more than two decades.
Miley Cyrus’ Grammys’ Acceptance Speech Was All About Love And Gratitude
The 2024 Grammys were all about Miley Cyrus. The world celebrated her much-awaited Grammy win. She even performed on Flowers and the star-studded audience cheered for the phenomenal singer. She was awarded the Grammy by Mariah Carey. While standing next to her Miley Cyrus said-
“I’m gonna stand by this MC for this because this is just too iconic. Oh my God, I just got stuck in the rain and traffic and thought I was gonna miss this moment, and I could have missed the award. That’s fine but not Mariah Carey. I just saw you at the Hollywood Bowl. It was everything I got sat in my lucky number three seat.”

In her acceptance speech, Miley Cyrus even expressed her emotions, she said-
“And so there’s a story I wanna tell that sums up this moment, and I wasn’t gonna tell it but now Mariah’s here. So there was a little boy that all he wanted for his birthday was a butterfly. And so his parents gave him a butterfly net, and he was so excited.”
She further shared-
“He just went outside out in the sun and started swinging and swinging. But with no luck, he sat down on the ground, he finally let go, and he surrendered, and he was okay that he wasn’t gonna capture this beautiful butterfly. And right when he did, the butterfly came and landed right on the tip of his nose. And this song ‘Flowers’ is my butterfly. Thank you.”
Fans claim that Flowers was a diss track based on her failed marriage with her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
