Troubled Upcoming MCU Show Likely Facing Another Delay, Fans Say “Nobody’s gonna watch it anyway”
Marvel Studios’ obsession with growing branches out of every half-good show has now led us to Echo, a spin-off of Hawkeye.
Hailee Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner starrer show Hawkeye (2021) picks up in the aftermath of the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019) and focuses on Clint Barton and Kate Bishop’s link up to unravel a murder mystery.

The mini-series on Disney+ failed to attract any notable appreciation from fans. However, that didn’t stop the decision-makers to spawn a spin-off centered around Hawkeye’s secondary antagonist Maya Lopez, whose last appearance on the show was her face-off with the Kingpin for the death of her father.

Hawkeye’s Spin-off Echo Finds Itself in a State of Limbo
The fate of the face-off in Hawkeye remains unknown and there isn’t any formal update on the Season 2 of the show. The hopes of the same are little as it was originally presented as a limited series.

Still, one can never rule out Marvel Studios changing their initial stance; Loki was also billed as a limited series, but the trailer of its second season is already out.
Hawkeye had some interesting characters, and in 2021, director Rhys Thomas insisted fans have embraced Hailee Steinfield’s portrayal of prodigious archer Bishop.
The performances of Alaqua Cox (Echo) and Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova) were also received well, leading to Marvel bosses handing the former a show that will be centered around Echo AKA Maya Lopez, an intriguing superhuman deaf character from the comics.
She is a master combatant thanks to her photographic reflexes and elite physicality. Lopez faces her past and reconnects with her Native American roots in the upcoming show.
Echo was initially scheduled to arrive on Disney+ on November 29, 2023. However, now it’s understood that it is no longer listed as a 2023 release.

Fans React as Marvel Show Echo Faces Delay
The last quarter of 2023 was set to see Marvel drop Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki 2 (October 6) and Echo (November 29) on Disney+. However, the name of the Cox-led show is apparently absent from the slide – presented for Disney investors – dedicated to upcoming releases.

In Echo, Lopez’s ruthless behavior in New York City catches up and puts her future in her hometown under uncertainty. Meanwhile, in real life, it’s Disney Earnings Call that has led to question marks over the show’s future altogether.

Just cancel it. This show not necessary.

Yikes maybe they should just cancel it and have her appear in daredevil

Things were already looking bleak when Disney confirmed that Echo would become the first MCU series to drop all its episodes at once, as the move suggested a lack of hype among viewers and faith among the decision-makers for the Sydney Freeland-directed show.
Bruh🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️they were going to release the whole thing at once, why delay it if they already knew nobody is hyped for it, they might as well release it sooner🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Think about this…
Secret invasion was awful, yet disney wanted to push it like it would bring a whole new side to marvel.
Disney marvel may be so worried about Echo being bad that they reportedly wanted to release it all at once, compared to every other release of https://t.co/xyicnlGbD8

How much the delay has to do with the ongoing 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes remains unclear.
