In 1992, Allen was accused of having sexually assaulted his seven-year-old adoptive stepdaughter in his then-partner Mia Farrow’s home. There are no direct witnesses and no credible evidence. Although, Dylan Farrow’s nannies and others were present in the house at the time of the alleged assault. The medical reports did not show any record of her having been abused and none of the multiple court hearings convicted Allen.
When the alleged assault happened, Allen had been in a twelve-year-long relationship with actress Mia Farrow at that point. The former couple had three children during that time, one biological and two adopted, with Dylan Farrow being the youngest.
Allen has repeatedly denied the allegations. Moreover, the recountings of the incident are laden with inconsistencies.

The Allen-Farrow Family
The bits and pieces of information on the incident resurface whenever any members of the estranged clan decide to make a new project. Mia Farrow had children from previous relationships or adopted prior to her relationship with Allen. One of them is her adoptive daughter Soon-Yi Previn, who was 21 at the time of the alleged assault.
As per Allen, the allegations came after Mia Farrow discovered his s-xual relationship with Previn and was revengeful. These claims are backed up by Previn and Mosses, the couple’s eldest adoptive daughter who have accused Mia Farrow of child abuse.
The revelation of the assault made things increasingly worse, and Allen ultimately filed for the children’s full custody and lost.
However, it was reported that the director was doing counseling sessions to improve his conduct around Farrow. He married Previn in 1997.
Dylan Farrow’s 31 Years As A Victim
Dylan Farrow has repeated the allegation several times as an adult. She is now 38, an author and activist for survivors of s-xual assault. She is one of the fourteen children Mia Farrow has. Having been at the center of a scandal like that at only seven is messed up. Not to mention, it has followed her throughout her life.
Her account of the assault has changed over the years, varying from her mother’s in 1994. If that’s due to the passage of time or some other reason, can’t be said for sure.
The story still gets traction and has been the subject of various projects like documentaries, books, etc. Allen was never charged or convicted and Farrow grew up as a s-xual-assault survivor. The public stand on the matter has been divisive. Some believe Allen to be innocent while others support Farrow. Either way, the incident has shadowed both individuals, their entire lives.
