Vince McMahon Continues to Deny Allegations From Janel Grant After Resigning From WWE and TKO Group
The allegations of s*xual abuse, trafficking and exploitation came to light recently against Vince McMahon, the former CEO and current executive chairman of the board of TKO Holdings, a company that owns both WWE and UFC. The lawsuit was pretty comprehensive with instances of forced s*xual relations between defendant McMahon and John Laurinaitis, and plaintiff Janel Grant, who’s an ex-employee at WWE.

Vince McMahon Resigns From WWE
The New York Times got their hands on an email that Nick Khan wrote to all employees across the company informing them of Vince McMahon’s recent resignation. President of WWE, Khan, informed everyone that McMahon is no longer linked to the company of TKO in any capacity. The lawsuit detailed McMahon’s actions that brought incredible ill repute to the company.
While being the CEO of WWE, McMahon engaged in s*xual relations with Janel Grant, who was at a lower coordinator level at the company. He even forced her to sleep with other employees and people at the company to secure better deals. He released a statement against the lies in the lawsuit and resigned from his position at the company while saying,
“I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth. I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name. However, out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader, it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately.”
His resignation comes after the entire WWE and TKO crew talked about the lawsuit allegations and the impact it could have on the entire company. TKO did not comment on who would be taking McMahon’s place in the company now that he has stepped down. However, they will have to first fight the case in the Connecticut court to its merits.
Previous Allegations Against Vince McMahon
This is not the first time Vince McMahon, the co-founder of WWE, has been accused of s*xual harassment. After establishing the company along with his wife in 1980, McMahon faced similar accusations that severely impacted the company’s fortunes in 2022. The board investigated McMahon’s actions and found that over 16 years, a whopping amount of $14.6 million was paid by McMahon to women he slept with as hush money. While he temporarily resigned from the company then, he came back stronger as the largest shareholder and even replaced the board members with people who would back him up.
Not just with employees, McMahon indulged in such acts with wrestlers as well. A female wrestler reported that he forced her to perform oral s*x only to never renew her contract again. The limit to shame and depravity has been constantly pushed by McMahon and the company seems pretty tired of having to navigate such situations that put everyone in jeopardy.
