The CEO of WWE Vince McMahon has been accused of s*xually abusing and exploiting a former employee named Janel Grant. She has sued him in a lawsuit filed yesterday with details outlining her experience at the company. U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut was approached for the case that claims McMahon trafficked Grant to other potential wrestlers as well which would help him secure successful deals.

The names of defendants in the case include McMahon, WWE and former head of talent relations John Laurinaitis. The violation of the Trafficking Victims Prevention Act, civil battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress to years-long s*xual and emotional abuse forced Grant to file a case and fight this matter legally. As the lawsuit goes on the floor, new evidence will emerge which will decide the ultimate conviction.

Through the case, Grant wants to be compensated monetarily for the damages she faced and for her non-disclosure agreement to be declared void. Nobody from McMahon or Laurinaitis’ team has come forward with any statements or clarifications. The company that owns WWE and UFC, TKO Group Holdings, released a statement:

“Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. While this matter predates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.”

Variety posted the lawsuit publically for everyone to see the kind of horror inflicted on Grant in the years she worked at the company. The impact on her mental health and wellbeing is unimaginable. Reportedly, McMahon and Laurinaitis used s*x toys and brute force for their own pleasure while Grant repeatedly told them no and tried to fight them off.

McMahon stepped down as CEO of WWE in 2022 because he was found to be using the company’s money to pay off the people he had abused which eventually he paid back to the company in 2023. However, even then the company failed to see the truth behind McMahon’s actions and what he was capable of doing. He returned to the company soon and became the executive chairman of the TKO board when WWE merged with UFC.

Moreover, when McMahon’s wife learned of his misdemeanors, he forced Grant to resign from the company and even forced her to sign an NDA that prohibited her from ever disclosing the details of their alleged relationship. “Mr. McMahon would ‘protect her’ financially and reputationally, and pay her $3 million. However, Mr. McMahon later refused to make payments to Ms. Grant, falsely claiming that she had leaked information to the press,” the lawsuit reads.
