War Machine Almost got A New Suit in Endgame
War Machine a.k.a James “Rhodey” Rhodes plays a vital role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since his first appearance in Iron Man, he has been part of several of the Marvel movies. He was last seen in Avengers: Infinity War. However, he did not receive a new suit in the film, unlike most superheroes. He was still spotted in the same outfit as he on in Infinity War and Captain America: Civil War.
Rhodey Almost Got A New Suit
As it turns out, Marvel had plans to give War Machine a new suit. The designers had even designed it. But for some apparent reason, it did not feature in any of the Marvel movies. So, he did not get to have the real fun as the other Marvel characters. Meanwhile, he was one of the lucky characters to survive the traumatic ending of Endgame when his friend Tony Stark was not fortunate enough.
A Floating Cube and The Armour
One of the concept artists for Marvel had worked out a new suit for War Machine. It was supposed to give a sleek look to the character. With something that resembles the concept of Iron Man’s armour suitcase, the suit consisted of a floating cube. The cube was supposed to carry Warhead’s armour and would be ready to put on when in need. Concept artist Aleksi Briclot had conceptualised this suit which unfortunately could not get to be featured. He revealed this in the book Avengers: Endgame – The Art of The Movie.
