In 2019, Dr. Terry Sanderson filed a lawsuit seeking $3.1 million against the actress claiming that she was the one who was out of control and crashed into him. This led to Paltrow filing a countersuit against Sanderson, alleging that she was the one who got injured.

On Friday, actress Gwyneth Paltrow testified in court regarding her 2016 skiing accident. The actress explained that she felt like she was being s*xually assaulted when Dr. Terry Sanderson allegedly “lost control” and crashed into her,

I was skiing and two skis came between my skis, forcing my legs apart. And then there was a body pressing against me.” Kristin VanOrman, Dr. Terry Sanderson’s attorney then asked her, “Was he grinding or thrusting? What made you think it was a s*xual assault?” The actress then replied, “There was a strange grunting noise and a body behind me so I was trying to make sense of what was going on. My mind was going very quickly.

The incident took place at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah in February 2016. The actress claimed that Dr. Terry Sanderson was “skiing out of control and crashed into her,” causing her to fall and sustain injuries.

Dr. Terry Sanderson was seeking $3.1 million in damages

Initially, Dr. Terry Sanderson filed a lawsuit against Gwyneth Paltrow claiming that she was the one who was skiing “out of control” and crashed into him. He alleged that she was going too fast, “knocking him down hard, knocking him out, and causing a brain injury, four broken ribs, and other serious injuries,” adding that “Paltrow simply got up, turned and skied away.” He was seeking $3.1 million in damages but a judge ruled that he was not entitled to punitive damage so now he seeks $300,000.

After the doctor filed his lawsuit, the actress decided to fight back by filing a countersuit defending her side of the story. In the suit, she claimed that the story was different claiming Sanderson crashed into her. The actress’ attorney has claimed that Sanderson is “desperate for fame and money.” Paltrow is seeking $1 million in damages and expects Sanderson to cover her legal expenses. The actress’s husband and two children will also testify in court during the trial.
