Watch Cody Rhodes Allegedly Lose a Tooth After Drew McIntyre’s Botched Claymore Kick at Royal Rumble
It seems that Cody Rhodes actually took a fatal blow of Drew McIntyre on his jaw. America’s professional wrestler, Cody Garrett Runnels Rhodes, is well-known for his action in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), especially in the RAW brand. His notable achievements include three AEW TNT Championships and a tenure as an executive vice president in All Elite Wrestling from 2019 to 2022.
In the same ring fights another big name in the history of WWE, Andrew McLean Galloway IV, also known as Drew McIntyre. This Scottish professional wrestler has 1 WWE NXT Title and 2 WWE Championship belts to his name. So, it’s not surprising that the Claymore of McIntyre landed so strongly on the jaw of Cody Rhodes at the recent Royal Rumble.
Did Cody Rhodes Lose a Tooth?
In the 2024 Royal Rumble on 28th January (Sunday), Cody Rhodes ended up being on the victorious side. Although vanquished, Drew McIntyre left an impact of his power on Rhodes’ face. In the match, Cody Rhodes went up against McIntyre, and they both exchanged a set of action moves. However, the most powerful blow seemingly came from McIntyre.
Pretty famous for his powerful Claymores, McIntyre used the elasticity of the ring ropes to push himself toward his opponent and planted a blow on Rhodes’ face. The kick was pretty absolute and hit Rhodes’ jaw like a hammer. As a result, Rhodes lost one of his teeth in the ring as can be seen in a video clip posted by a fan on X.

Rhodes fell down immediately after receiving the Claymore, and McIntyre had an aggressive grin on his face. However, he was later silenced by the veteran WWE fighter who recently made a comeback into the ring, CM Punk.

Its a gum most probably, Cody doesnt even bleed from his mouth, of It was a tooth there would have been blood all over his face

To support their arguments, they have pointed out that there was no blood coming out of Rhodes’ mouth after the Claymore. Though the allegations are not officially proven, fans have their side of the story as one of them jokingly wrote:
“Guess Cody’s got an appointment with the Tooth Fairy instead of a title shot tonight!”
Guess Cody's got an appointment with the Tooth Fairy instead of a title shot tonight! Hope that Claymore kick came with dental insurance.

It is certainly impossible that a broken tooth will have no bleeding. On top of that, fans explained that the players spit the gum out to make it look like a tooth. Doing so is a pretty cunning way to generate hype about the incident.
