Now that the DCU is all set for a reboot, another speculation has come up about Watchmen‘s boss Damon Lindelof to be one of the executive producers of the new and exciting Green Lantern series, who will be responsible for overseeing the production and work on the creative aspects of the show. There have been numerous actors who have taken the role of Green Lantern, a fictional superhero from the DC universe who has the incredible ability to create objects and weapons using their willpower and the energy of green light.

It would be rousing to watch an adaptation made by Damon Lindelof with his creative way of making complex and interesting characters in a storyline, especially when James Gunn‘s DCU is highly in talks about its reboot. Green Lantern is already a significant and recognizable part of the DC universe as it has been adapted in various forms of media. However, this information according to Dcu Updates was reported by Dceuleaks and this can also be found and edited by anyone on IMDB so this rumor should be taken with skepticism.

The movie Blue Beetle, after a couple of weeks of struggling to lift its box office record off the ground, has managed to earn more than $100 million at the worldwide box office. Despite everything, there were indeed some notable scenes including Green Lantern which some fans might have missed. At the beginning of the movie, the green light hits the scarab that has come from a Green Lantern. Director Angel Manuel Soto exclusively told Collider:

“There’s more. At the beginning of the title sequence, for those of you guys that follow the Blue Beetle comics, there’s a green light that hits this character, and that’s a Green Lantern. If you didn’t catch it, watch it again. Also, on the bug layer, and you see it also at the end, there’s a stack of Oreos, and who likes to eat Oreos?”

Green Lanterns already exist in the DCU, but considering how dangerous Scarab and his kind are to the planets in the movie, it is clear that the Green Lantern Corps would intervene. The Green Lantern scene was a beautiful Easter Egg featured in the movie. However, it is unknown which Green Lantern appeared in the movie, as dozens of characters took the mantle, such as Alan Scott, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and Hal Jordan.
