Before we see David Corenswet in the iconic Superman role, we will witness his acting skills in the upcoming movie Twisters. Along with Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones, Corenswet is a part of this modern sequel to the classic Twister movie of 1996.

According to NME, Powell revealed at a press conference that Corenswet received the Superman casting news while he was on the sets of Twisters. The entire cast celebrated with the actor and caught it on camera. The Hitman star said,

We all got the call, and we have it on camera of us all freaking out as he told us he’s Superman.

Unfortunately, the video has not made its way into the public platform as of yet. Nevertheless, it’s interesting to see actors supporting actors in their greatest achievements. Corenswet’s career is bound to get a huge boost if fans love his take on the Kryptonian superhero.

Even the director of Twisters Lee Isaac Chung shared that they knew Corenswet would be an amazing Superman. He said on the Inside Total Film Podcast,

When we found out he was on a shortlist, a lot of us were saying, ‘You know, he actually would be a great Superman.’ He is such an imposing and big presence. There’s this genuine purity to him that I feel fits in a lot with Superman.

Chung further shared how Corenswet remained in the Superman persona long after the audition, proving how worthy he was to play the part. The cast and crew of Twisters are extremely excited for Corenswet to sweep the masses with his portrayal.

Powell-starrer Twisters is rated fresh on Tomatometer with 78% ratings from the critics. Fans are yet to witness the movie in the theatres, so the box office collections and the social media critiques will start rolling in from tomorrow. Nonetheless, the early reviews are mostly positive, appreciating the thrill and the flow of the movie that borrows great elements from its predecessor.

Moreover, the star cast’s performances have received raving comments since everyone pulls their weight and exceeds expectations. One of the major complaints from viewers seems to be the less than amazing visual effects considering it’s a movie based on a disaster. Rest, it succeeds in entertaining and keeping the masses hooked.
