“We received at this decision amicably”: Tom Brady Reveals Official Statement Amidst Divorce Finalization With Gisele Bündchen, Holds Back Emotions Despite Emotional Stress
All the talks surrounding an inevitable divorce between Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have come true. Bündchen officially filed the divorce papers on the morning of Friday 28 October. And Brady is also going with the decision. Both have already hired high-profile lawyers and are ready to settle the divorce.
Earlier according to Page Six, sources had revealed that Bündchen offered an ultimatum to Brady before deciding to separate. In the ultimatum, Brady had to choose either family and marriage or his profession. And clearly, Brady chose his profession over marriage. He later tweeted explaining his decision to un-retire from NFL. He said that the time for retirement would come later and he was not ready to part with football yet.
Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady are officially getting a Divorce
After months of divorce news and many other related stuff about their marriage relationship, the former couple is officially getting a divorce. TMZ revealed that on the morning of 28 October Gisele Bündchen filed the documents in Florida. It is informed that Tom Brady has not contested the divorce and therefore will go with it. For the past few days, the lawyers of both the party have been working on the settlement document. Reportedly, they have agreed to joint custody of their 4 children and property division.
Now all that is left is to get the official order from the court stating their divorce. With this, both the Victoria’s Secret model and the NFL quarterback came up with their explanation. Brady wrote,
“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”
He further also shared that they would work together as parents to their children.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback also added that the decision had been painful but it was inevitable. He wrote,
“We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration. Doing so is, of course painful, and difficult, like it is for so many people who go through the same thing every day around the world.”
At the same time after filing for the divorce, Bündchen also came up with her explanation. She wrote,
“The decision to end a marriage is never easy, but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always.”
It is now clear that the ex-couple are not gonna get back together ever but have decided to take care of the children as normal parents.
What is the Story Behind the Divorce?
For a very long time, Gisele Bündchen had been warning Tom Brady to quit playing football. Her main reason for that was that Brady did not spend as much time with family as he should have. According to the Victoria’s Secret model, her ex-husband’s profession as an NFL quarterback demanded too much time. NFL is known for its tight schedules. And therefore Brady was required to be away from home for 6 months at a time. On top of that, there was the risk of head injuries. This all led to Bündchen threatening the NFL quarterback with divorce.
For a while, it seemed things were fine after Brady decided to retire at the start of the year. However, divorce was on its way when Brady returned to the NFL after only 40 days of retirement. Following that decision, even before filing the divorce officially, the ex-couple began living separately. Later Bündchen was also spotted without her wedding ring. This along with the news of the two hiring high-profile attorneys was enough to confirm a divorce.
