It began with the rumors of Lively’s alleged feud with her film’s co-star and director Justin Baldoni. The discourse spread around like wildfire when people began paying close attention to the film’s promotion, and then it was only a matter of time before they also discovered the alleged rumors of a feud between Lively and her A Simple Favor co-star Anna Kendrick.

Both Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively began their careers as teenagers in Hollywood in the early 2000s and are two of the most well-known actresses in the industry right now. Lively’s It Ends with Us dealt with domestic abuse, and Kendrick’s Woman of the Hour was based on the true story of serial killer Rodney Alcala. A majority of these jabs were aimed at Lively due to the fact that she allegedly had a feud with Kendrick after they starred together in a movie years ago. Not to mention that the mother of four also appeared to promote some of the product lines she owned while promoting It Ends with Us (via Dexerto).

Lively and Kendrick crossed paths in 2018’s dark comedy thriller, A Simple Favor, in which they starred as co-leads. However, rumors of a feud between them did not hit the internet until 2021, when a popular TikTok account posted a video reporting on claims that, by the time the film wrapped, these two stars could hardly stand each other.

Then, the user followed it up with another video in which she showed a direct message from someone else who claimed to have worked at the film’s production company, Lionsgate, and alleged that “the rumors are true.” If that was not proof enough, last month, an insider told Life & Style that the actresses have “managed to put aside their personality differences”.

The outlet reported that Lively is very eager to get rid of her ‘mean girl’ reputation and will be starring in A Simple Favor 2 alongside Kendrick. If these reports are true, Lively might finally be able to regain her influence and reputation as one of the most beloved actresses in the industry.
