No, no, not really.

Back in 2022, in a response to a tweet speculating if Evans would return as Captain America or not, the actor simply replied ‘Sam Wilson is Captain America’. (via Yahoo) Evans has made such a strong impression as Captain America in the minds of people that it is going to take some time for the audience to adjust to Mackie taking over. The audience loves Mackie, but deep down they hoped that Evans would return.

The actor during his interview did mention that he is updated with the information when it comes to his fellow actors. Ahead of the release of Captain America: Brave New World, he said,

I keep in touch with all those guys. We text all the time. I can’t wait to see that movie.

Ryan’s a buddy. He just shot me a text saying, ‘Listen, that might be a long shot, but would you have any interest in reprising something from 20 years ago? I said, ‘Oh my god! Of course.’ Honestly, Ryan might be the only guy that I would’ve done it for because he’s just got the Midas touch.

Evans appreciates Ryan Reynolds’ self-awareness, which he says makes the Canadian actor almost invincible. The Gray Man actor pointed that Reynolds makes jokes before the audience gets a chance to make the joke. The actor pointed that Ryan’s humor makes just about everything work whether it’s him reprising his character or Jackman returning as Wolverine. He also noted that the Deadpool actors makes sure that the other actor feels a sense of safety.

Talking about his Human Torch suit, Chris Evans shared that it was slightly improved this time compared to earlier, noting that maybe the audience finds Johnny where he’s meant to be a little more rundown, so the costume does not have to be pristine.

Evans explained further that he has nothing but just fond memories of working with Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, and Michael Chiklis. He mentioned that those were big chapters of his life, as it was his first big studio film, and he loved everything about it.
