Actress Melissa Joan Hart previously told Hey Dude… The 90s Called! podcast that she dated actor Chris William Martin and had a “little thing” with actor Ryan Reynolds. She said,
“I dated Corky and kind of had a little thing with Ryan. I met Corky… in Utah or something at a Nick Takes Over Your School [event] and we started phone dating from Vancouver to Orlando. And then I worked on Ryan Reynolds on the first Sabrina [the Teenage Witch] movie. The first movie we did, Ryan was in it.”

In 2017, Melissa Joan Hart explained that she regrets not having something serious with Reynolds, adding that he was very sweet and not the Ryan Reynolds people know nowadays. She said,
“We were smitten and cute. He was adorable. He was a really nice guy. He wasn’t like, the Ryan Reynolds everybody knows these days. You can see, in the clip, the crazy hair. He was a really, really nice guy — probably would have been a great boyfriend — and I didn’t end up with the other guy. Maybe I should have taken a chance!”
