The first Ocean’s film was released back in 2001. Though not confirmed, as per The Insneider, David Leitch is in negotiations to direct Ocean’s 14. After Steven Soderbergh’s legacy in Ocean’s film series and Gary Ross’ beautiful portrayal of the women-led heist in Ocean’s 8, what more Leitch’s direction could bring to the table for the new movie, Ocean’s 14?
Leitch, who recently helmed Ryan Gosling‘s Fall Guy, is known for his dynamic and high-energetic filmmaking. Over the years, Leitch has proved his worth as a filmmaker who can handle creative action sequences as well as humorous narratives like John Wick, Deadpool 2, and more. However, the key point behind the massive success of Ocean’s film series has been this.
Ever since the news update hit the internet, netizens have been going crazy about it. Here’s what they are posting on X (previously known as Twitter):

Reportedly, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are expected to reprise their OG roles. They last starred in Ocean’s 13 in 2007. Both of them were in the first three movies of the film series. It will definitely be iconic if they return. Before this latest update, previously in an interview with Uproxx, Clooney opened up about a new Ocean’s movie. He said,
We have a really good script for another ‘Ocean’s’ now, so we may end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script.
At that time, Clooney was quite reluctant to call the project Ocean’s 14, but now we know what the film is going to be titled. During the conversation, he further added, “The idea is kind of like ‘Going In Style,’” referencing the 1979 movie written and directed by Martin Brest, starring George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg.
The three films of the franchise cumulatively grossed over $420 million at the domestic box office and had quite a successful box office run. Are you intrigued to know more about the upcoming Ocean’s movie? Then, stay tuned.
