Actress Rachel Brosnahan is widely known for her character portrayal of Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel in Prime Video’s period comedy-drama show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The actress portrayed the character of a stand-up comedian on the show which premiered in 2017 and concluded with its fifth and final season in 2023. She was highly appreciated for her performance on the show.

Rachel Brosnahan admits to having big shoes to fill in with Superman: Legacy

Rachel Brosnahan was announced as the actress who would be seen as Lois Lane in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s Superman: Legacy. She will be seen opposite David Corenswet who will be portraying the character of Superman/Clark Kent in the movie.

At the time of the announcement, a lot of fans were disappointed with Henry Cavill and Amy Adams being replaced with David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan. But now, they are looking forward to seeing the two of them portraying fan -favorite characters.

Recently at the Golden Globes 2024, the actress spoke about her character as she said via ExtraTV;

“We’ve been having a lot of great conversations, David and I, with James Gunn the director and we’ve been talking a lot about where this project fits into the canon of the ‘Supermans’ that we know so hopefully this will be putting our own stamp on things.”

Associated Press asked Rachel Brosnahan on the red carpet of Critics Choice Awards 2024 about playing Lois Lane to which she said,

“We have big shoes to fill, but we’re excited to try and fill them. The best part about working on this is that from top to bottom, from James to Peter Safran, everyone at DC and David, we’re all just nerds.”

Upon asking if she would be donning a pair of glasses just like Lois Lane, she added that they haven’t got that far in the fittings yet.

During an interview with ET Online on the red carpet of Critics Choice Awards 2024, Rachel Brosnahan once again shared the same sentiment when asked about Superman: Legacy. She said,

“I’ve really enjoyed the collaboration with James Gunn so far. Every single person involved with this production is such a perfect nerd for Superman. We all grew up watching the movies and some of us grew up reading the comics.”

She continued,

When asked to describe her character in three words, she said,

“Feisty. Dare I say, marvellous? And fiercely intelligent.”

James Gunn and Peter Safran’s Superman: Legacy is going to recount the story of a fan-favorite superhero’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. The movie is scheduled for July 2025 release.
