Before entering the music industry, she was widely known for her commanding TikTok presence. She’s been a mainstay among the most-followed TikTok stars for quite some time, and that fame has naturally extended to her family members, including her parents and younger brothers.
Much like any other celebrity, her personal life is a topic of scrutiny at times. This was especially true last year when she seemed to be having a rough summer when her parents seemed to be on bad terms and ultimately separated. It has been two years since then, and they now appear to have moved on with their lives.
Addison Rae’s Parents Have Moved on Since Their Divorce
Addison Rae began gaining attention when she joined TikTok in 2019 and posted videos of herself dancing to trending music on the platform. Within a few months, she amassed a million followers and slowly began branching out to podcasts, singing, acting and even launching her own cosmetics and fragrance lines.
Her parents, Monty Lopez and Sheri Nicole Easterling also have their own individual TikTok presence with Lopez having 5 million followers and Easterling with 14 million followers. Things began going downhill for the family in 2022 when it was alleged that Lopez cheated on Easterling (via In Touch). The drama did not end there and soon the couple had split.
These days, Lopez, who owns a real estate investment company named ML Sales, seems to be attending different celebrity events such as the Celebrity Poker Tour, and spending some quality time with his sons, Enzoe and Lucas Lopez. Since this split with Easterling, Rae does not seem to have been in touch with her father publicly nor does she follow him or her mother on Instagram.
Easterling on the other hand has remarried. She announced her marriage on Instagram in May this year. Her new husband is Jess Curtis, a football coach at Southside High School in Youngsville (via Sports Illustrated). The Obsessed singer and her two brothers also attended the wedding as they could be seen in the pictures her mother posted.
Monty Lopez and Sheri Nicole Easterling Split on Bad Terms
As shocking as some people may find this, Lopez and Easterling have married and divorced twice. On the first episode of her podcast, the songstress revealed that her parents had split when she was a young kid. They were in an on-and-off relationship until 2017 when they remarried, only to break it off again after 5 years (via That was Fun? With Addison and Sheri).
It all started when TikToker Renee Ash alleged that she was tricked into believing that Lopez was not married to Easterling when they were dating (via In Touch). Things turned even more complicated when Rae’s father began feuding with rapper Yung Gravy, whom Easterling dated briefly (via Rolling Stone).
Luckily, Gravy refused to take it any further, and slowly, Rae’s life began going back to normal. Well, as normal as it could be with her parents split and a career that almost went down the drain because of all the family drama she had to endure.
