“What have you done?!”: ‘Speed’ Crew Members Were Screaming at Keanu Reeves in Utter Disbelief After He Cut His Hair Short For the Role

Following the release of his action neo/noir, John Wick: Chapter 4, the actor sat down for a chat with his stunt mentor Scott Adkins. The two recalled many action scene memories throughout the actor’s career till now. While conversing, Reeves shared some behind-the-scenes memory while shooting his 1994 flick Speed.
He explained the story behind his haircut in the movie and how it had been his choice to go with it. Furthermore, apart from all that, the Matrix star also had many other stories to share in the podcast.
Keanu Reeves Shocked Film Crew Members After Cutting His Hair Short
There are so many behind-the-scenes stories from movie sets that fans never get to know. Recently, Keanu Reeves shared one such story while discussing the slew of action movies he has taken part in. The actor sat down for a chat with his stunt guru Scott Adkins for his podcast The Art of Action. They touched on various aspects of carrying out action scenes. And while discussing action-packed movies, the Matrix star revealed a behind-the-scenes story while he was working on his 1994 action film Speed.

In the movie, he had a very short haircut. And it turns out that he had decided to get the haircut. According to him, the movie reminded him of SWAT teams, and that led to his decision to cut his hair short. The actor recalled the memory when the film crew members saw the haircut saying,
“and the people at the film were screaming at me ‘What have you done?!”
Furthermore, Reeves also revealed that the movie brought him intense happiness as it allowed him to work with weapons and get into training. Moreover, apart from the haircut, even his wardrobe choice for the movie had been his according to the actor.

Keanu Reeves started working on the 1994 thriller Speed after Point Break. The 1994 flick was directed by Jan De Bont. Reeves plays the role of an LAPD officer named Jack Traven. His co-star was another Hollywood big name, Sandra Bullock. In the podcast The Art of Action, the Matrix star shared why he had decided to star in the movie.
According to him the main attraction of the film was the “nonsensical plot” of the whole story. Moreover, Reeves seemed to like the fact that his character Jack Traven was a good guy who wanted to save people.
