Tom Hiddleston has appeared in some of the best movies and TV shows over the years. Out of these, his portrayal of the Asgardian God of Mischief Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) remains one of the most iconic ones to date. He continues to impress the masses with his anti-hero persona even after all these years.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is one of the characters in the MCU that has seen huge character development, especially since the launch of the Disney+ series Loki. The second season of the show was released a couple of months ago and saw the titular character decide to shoulder the responsibility of holding together the branches of the multiverse. While this is not opposed by his partner Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie, she does think that it might not have been the best decision.

Sophia Di Martino Believes Sylvie Might Not Be Too Happy about Loki’s Decision

Unlike many other characters in the MCU, Sophia Di Martino’s character Sylvia Laufeydottir is not directly from the comics. It is an original character who is created based on Lady Loki and Sylvie Lushton’s Enchantress from Marvel Comics. The most important aspect of Sylvie’s character is that she is an alternate version of Loki who falls in love with the 2012 version of the character when they team up in the first season of the show.

In the second season of the show, the Asgardian God takes the title of the God of Stories and makes the sacrifice of staying stuck on a throne to keep the multiverse from falling apart. While Sylvie did not stop him from doing so, she believes that it might not have been the best decision given what happened when He Who Remains was controlling time and Thor’s little brother’s own history with being on a throne.

While talking to CherryPicks, Sophia Di Martino revealed what Sylvie’s thoughts might be about this whole thing, saying:

“And that person, you know, what if Loki sees something on the timeline that he does not like? He’s going to find it really difficult not to meddle, or not to intercept something, or change something somehow.”

Di Martino might be right about her judgment about Loki being in control of something this huge and delicate. However, it remains to be seen if her apprehension is legitimate.

Sophia Di Martino has spent so much time playing Sylvie that she is bound to understand how she thinks or might behave. So, she revealed to CherryPicks how Sylvie feels about the sacrifice the God of Mischief made in the finale of Season 2, saying:

“So, I think she has a massive amount of respect for him [Loki], and also is super grateful that he’s done that, and he’s had the thought to do that. So, she’s sort of relieved that they have a chance at this by the end, and grateful.”

The decision truly has put Loki in a tough spot because he will have to spend the rest of the time on his own. Not to mention that he has taken a huge responsibility, one that could make or break the multiverse.
